A town of less than 2000 people but with all the essentials - two boulangeries, two butchers, a small grocery store, a pharmacy, a wine co-op salesroom and an olive oil mill and outlet. Cucuron is surrounded by vineyards and olives and belted by hills all the way round.  This is a real town, not particularly touristy, with friendly people who greet you in the streets. In case you were wondering, the bell in the belfrey (not part of the church) does chime all night!
